For the first time ever, presenting: the Scherlinders, complete!
We had a great visit, with encouraging news that he could be home in as little as ten days (around Seder time, pending sufficient weight gain and clearing a few manageable medical hurdles). Yikes! Time to shift into overdrive to get the house ready (while still working, still heading south to visit Gili, and getting ready for Pesach). Anyway, Sara had a great time with her brother, and joined in the feeding frenzy:
In the NICU we’re trying to spend as much time with Gil as possible, bonding, and changing diapers, and feeding, and being spat up upon — it’s great! And of course, getting exhausted together:
We can’t wait to do all that in the comfort of our own home! Sara gets the last image for right now; her expression pretty much captures our feeling, too, at the incredible turn of events that has Gilad in our lives:
